Prescriptive And Descriptive Grammar

There is 2 types of grammar...

Prescriptive

How the grammar should be in the context of the language. Eg. Use of double negative is wrong.

Descriptive

How the grammar is actually spoken by the people. Eg. "I ain't did nothing" is valid in African American Vernacular English.
